Hacienda San Agustin is an historical landmark turned into an exclusive hotel located just over one hour south of Quito near Cotopaxi National Park in Ecuador.
Built on the site of an Inca palace, and one of the two most important archaeological Inca sites in Ecuador, it is the furthest point north from Cuzco that features Imperial Style construction.
Location: Lasso, Province of Cotopaxi 77 km. south of Quito on the Panamericana Highway, 5km. off the highway and close to the entrance to Cotopaxi National Park.
The house stands at 9.857 ft. (3000 mts) above sea level, one and a half hour drive from Quito.

Inca House: Its five (5) guest quarters (three double rooms and two guest suites with adjoining living rooms) are located in a courtyard. The three double rooms have king-size beds, private bathrooms, fireplaces, and cable TV and music. The Mulalo Suite has a king-size bed, a drawing room with a sofa bed and is equipped with stereo, books, cable TV, a spacious bathroom with an antique bathtub, and a fireplace in each room, including the bathroom. The Inca Tambo Suite has a king-size bed, cable TV, music, books, an adjoining room which can hold a sofa bed or two single beds, and a private bathroom with an antique bathtub and fireplace. (The Troje Suite is the owner’s suite.)
Callo Lodge: This charming house is located very near the Inca House and has one (1) suite and two (2) rooms as well as a sitting room with a fireplace, kitchen, music, TV, and books. The Alexander von Humboldt Suite has a king-size bed, a fireplace, a private bathroom with a heating system, and a sitting room with a sofa bed and space for additional beds. The Montúfar Room is smaller with a queen-size bed, a fireplace in the bedroom, and a private bathroom. The Bonpland Room has cozy with a queen-size bed, a fireplace in the bedroom, and heating in the bathroom.
Cotopaxi House: A short distance from Inca House, the Cotopaxi House has two (2) ample suites, the Cotopaxi Suite and the Morurco Suite. The Cotopaxi Suite is larger, but both have king-size beds, private bathrooms with shower and Jacuzzi, and independent sitting rooms with sofa beds, music, books, and cable TV.

The hacienda has a dining room and a breakfast room, a lounge, its own archaeological site, a garden and a chapel.
One of the most exciting activities offered is horseback riding — suitable for novices as well as experienced riders.
Similarly, the hacienda is surrounded by páramo (highlands) that are ideal for hiking. Guided treks tours can be arranged with professional guides to the rather steep ascent in the southern side of Cotopaxi. Y
In addition, a vehicle can take you up to the Cotopaxi base camp situated at 4,800 meters (15,700 ft.) above sea level, where you can start an extraordinary downhill mountain biking experience that ends at the park’s entrance.
Nearby rose plantations can be visited by foot or by bicycle.
